For over 25 years, we’ve had the pleasure and privilege of planning and conducting Turkish yacht charters for a broad range of clients. Always mindful of our guests’ specific needs and desires, we work with the skippers and crews of our favorite boats to design memorable holidays.
As distinctive as our yachts, our clientele have ranged from a single competitive swimmer emulating Lord Byron’s swim across the Hellespont to honeymooners, wedding parties, museum groups, and large, multi-generational families. For all of them, we’ve made sure that every voyage was one-of-a-kind, the trip of a lifetime.
Although we always encourage our clients to choose their own travelling companions, we recognize that employment and school schedules, to say nothing of budgets, pose real challenges to many people who would love to share this adventure but who, for whatever reason, cannot organize their own private charters.
Thus, it’s hardly surprising that each year we receive scores of inquiries from singles and couples who do not wish to charter an entire vessel, but hope to stumble upon just one or two “available cabins” on a gulet already chartered.
Google the words “Turkish gulet” or “Blue Cruise” + “cabin charter” and you’ll find hundreds of links. Unfortunately, there are very few companies offering single-cabin charters whose standards meet ours.

This season, my Turkish colleagues at Equinox Travel and I are pleased to offer the chance to book INDIVIDUAL CABINS on OUR OWN SCHEDULED GULET VOYAGES. These trips will give our repeat clients and any friends they refer to us more flexible options to sail the magnificent Lycian coastline.
With a minimum of FOUR participants booked on any voyage in the schedule above, we can guarantee the departure. At this writing (April 10, 2014) we have guaranteed departures for the April and October 2014 voyages.
We cap the number of guests at 10 or 12, even though our yachts, each with six or eight double cabins, will comfortably accommodate 12 to 16 passengers. In all likelihood, the passenger counts on the voyages will be closer to 8 or 9, depending on how many people can take advantage of a one-week charter.
For the price of a very ordinary canned tour, you can sail the storied southwestern coast of Asia Minor in great style–sharing the thrill with just a few like-minded souls, your private captain & crew, and your own archeological guide.
Whether you join us for the burst of spring bloom in late April or wait until October, when most Aegean tourists have departed, we invite you to join a voyage that explores the the historic Turkish coastline between Gocek and Antalya. From the classic sailing yacht that serves as your accommodation, you’ll make excursions into ancient harbors, charming villages, and inland archeological sites.
Depending on how many are able to join a particular trip, the gulet for that voyage will measure 75 to 100 feet and have 6 to 8 double passenger cabins. Each cabin has its own shower and WC.
Each of our gulets also has separate quarters to accommodate a crew of 3 or 4 (Captain, cook, first mate & deck hand) as well as one of our superb, bilingual, academic guides.
Our rates above are double-occupancy and represent substantial savings over our custom, guided programs with an identical itinerary. We invite you to take advantage of the savings and join any of the scheduled cruises. The April and October departures are already guaranteed, but we still have a couple of open cabins on those two cruises.
For the 2014 season, among those we’ll be welcoming to Turkey, are repeat guests who are chartering their own gulets and looking forward to urban walking tours, cooking classes, mountain hikes, hot air balloon rides, visits to nomad camps, and off-road Jeep tours.
If you have the time, any voyage might serve as the centerpiece of a longer trip, and we would be delighted to help you plan additional days– on your own or with one of our guides– in Istanbul, Cappadocia, along the Black Sea Coast or in any other area of Turkey.
Wherever you go, you’ll encounter the hospitality and warm welcome for which the Turks are renowned.
